If altitude had an attitude, La-dakh is where it lives. Ride across more La’s than your GPS can pronounce — Khardung La, Chang La, Tanglang La — every pass feels like it’s laughing at your lungs. Crisp air, crazy views, prayer flags, and roads that look like they were designed by a bored mountain goat. This one’s for riders who like their oxygen thin and their stories thick. The Himalayas don’t do subtle, and neither does this route — it’s all exposure, elevation, and the kind of silence that makes you hear your own thoughts way too clearly. You’ll return with photos that don’t do it justice and a new baseline for what constitutes “difficult terrain.” Fair warning: sea level will feel like cheating afterwards.

Sach Pass doesn’t ask philosophical questions — it is the philosophical question. At 14,500 feet, where the road becomes a suggestion and gravity becomes your riding instructor, you’ll discover truths about yourself that no amount of therapy could excavate. The locals call it Sach (truth) because by the time you’ve white-knuckled through 98 hairpin bends over rivers that are really just angry suggestions, you’ve stripped away every polite lie you’ve ever told yourself. Snow in July. Landslides as morning greetings. A route so committed to the concept of “edge” that guardrails would be redundant. This is where motorcycles go to find religion and riders go to lose their minds in the most clarifying way possible.

North Vietnam’s Ha Giang Loop operates on its own physics — where karst mountains punch through clouds like Earth forgot to smooth its rough draft, and roads carve through landscapes so dramatic they make the Himalayas seem understated. The Vietnamese call it Happiness Road. We call it what happens when you let topography design the route while drunk on altitude and possibility. Rice terraces that defy both logic and erosion. Hmong villages where time moved to a different timezone. Corners so tight they fold back on themselves like spatial origami. This is touring for riders who understand that “remote” and “profound” are just different words for the same dopamine hit, and who know that the best stories start with “so there we were on a road that technically shouldn’t exist…”

Motorcycle expeditions aren’t gentle tourism. Before we confirm any booking, we have a conversation. It’s how we build squads that work, not tour groups.
We screen for attitude, not credentials. Not everyone is an Outrider. That’s not judgment; it’s fit.
Another Amazing trip and adventures with Rajeev and his team riding 10 of the worlds highest motorable mountain passes, a great way to see the majestic Himalayan mountains and experience the mind blowing vastness and natural landscape.
This is my second trip with them, each trip has been just awesome, I am looking forward to more more riding adventures with this company exploring and experiencing the hospitality and culture of India. Rajeev and his team go the extra mile to ensure you are looked after and want to come back again.
For years it is a dream and then….it is really happening. If you’ve ever had a yearning to experience India, really raw, wild, mountainous India, from the freedom and happiness a Royal Enfield provides….read on.
Rajeev and his expert team organised, supported and guided the tour. Their knowledge and experience means all the hard work is done for you and all that is left for you to do is enjoy and absorb. Top of the range Royal Enfield bikes (all matching, nice touch!) back up vehicles loaded with spares and mechanics, mean a worry-free trip of a lifetime. It is hard to describe the madness, beauty, chaos and majesty of Northern India so…just do it!!
Rajeev was the leader of our trip to the 12 high passes in Kashmir and Ladakh. These trips are not easy, apart from planning the route, accommodation, meals and fuel getting from A to B often needs particular skills. Rajeev has these in abundance, as an example, our way through a tunnel was blocked, waiting time about 6 hours, Rajeev managed to persuade local police I was an Air Marshal (thank you for the field promotion) and needed to get to B right away. Could he have permission to go on the other carriageway, against the flow of traffic. Permission was immediately granted.
He has encyclopedic knowledge of all areas of India, shortcuts, deviations to see a particular stunning view, the local people and their customs, local food all this is at his fingertips.
Went on tour of Spiti Valley with Rajeev and his team in Sept 22 started in Delhi and travelling up to 14,800ft into the Himalayas following the valley. 13 days trip with 11days on the bike. Enjoyed every minute on/off the bike. Learnt a lot about India with 2 very experienced guides and the scenery was stunning.

We are a stubborn, battle-tested crew; the buffer between you and the chaos. We believe that ‘Roughing It’ is a state of mind, not a requirement for your hotel room. We know the difference between a broken bike and a spiritual crisis, and we carry the tools to fix both. Our mechanics speak fluent EFI, and our support crew makes sure the only thing you worry about is the view.
Chief architect of organized chaos, he can be found at dawn having philosophical conversations with Royal Enfields about their existential purpose. Has the uncanny ability to remain calm while everything around him disintegrates into pandemonium. Walking encyclopedia of local culture and history.
Leads all-women motorcycle battalions through Ladakh like it’s a particularly challenging dance routine at 14,000 feet, which, technically, it is. Lives in India’s paragliding capital, where one can find her teaching bachata moves or painting wall art at local cafes, when she is not on the road.
Knows every back road, rickety bridge, and mud-slicked track in North Vietnam like they’re old friends who owe him money. Cool as Vietnamese iced coffee, he operates on a frequency of calm that suggests either deep enlightenment or complete acceptance. If the road exists, Tran knows it, if not, then Tran knows the cave shortcut.
